A String of Pearls is a collection of dharma talks given by Lord Gampopa in plain-spoken, no-nonsense, and direct language. In them, Gampopa continually exhorts us to remember the qualities that will allow us to practice dharma genuinely—loving-kindness, compassion, and bodhichitta. These talks speak to issues that affect practitioners of today just as much as they did the people who gathered around Gampopa and listened to him teach some 800 years ago.
