8th Tai Situpa
Translation: Michele Martin

The Daily Practice of White Tara (ཀུན་མཁྱེན་ཏཱ་ཡི་སི་ཏུ་བསྟན་པའི་ཉིན་བྱེད་ཀྱིས་མཛད་པའི་སྒྲོལ་དཀར་རྒྱུན་ཁྱེར་བཞུགས།) was composed by the 8th Tai Situ, Chökyi Jungné (1700-1774). Famous under the name Situ Penchen, he was a great Buddhist master, scholar, and polymath, gifted as a brilliant painter, writer, publisher, grammarian, and medical innovator. Within the Karma Kamtsang tradition, this beautiful daily practice of White Tara is the most beloved.

In 2019 for Dharma Ebooks, Michele Martin has revised an earlier translation from 2000, which was dedicated, as this present one, to the perfect health, flourishing activity, and long life of His Holiness the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

Please note: This sadhana should be practiced only by people who have received the appropriate empowerment, transmission, and instruction from a qualified guru.
