Pervasive Auspiciousness is a practice text used during the Nyungne retreats of Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara. It was composed by Khenchen Tashi Öser (མཁན་ཆེན་བཀྲ་ཤིས་འོད་ཟེར།), one of the main disciples of Jamgön Kongtrul Lodrö Thaye.
The tradition of fasting practices connected to Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara was started a few centuries ago by Bhikshuni Lakshmi, who used it to cure herself of leprosy. She composed a famous praise of Avalokiteshvara that is repeated multiple times during the Nyungne retreat and this eBook features a recitation of the praise by the Gyalwang Karmapa.
This publication also includes additional prayers that could be recited along with the main practice, as they do at KTD, USA, but given that Dharma Centers all over the world have various styles of practicing it, you need to always follow the direct instructions of your Lama.
